About this tapestry
A large woven hanging that takes the most familiar seated figure in sculpture and rebuilds it entirely out of colour. Seen close the surface is thousands of separate points; step back and the form resolves.
Age and character
The fibres are deliberately weathered rather than crisp, so the piece reads as something that has hung somewhere for a long time. Slight irregularity across the weave is part of the finish, not a fault.
Hanging it
A rod pocket is sewn along the top edge. Hang it away from direct sun, and let it settle for a few days after unrolling.
